RURAL DEVELOPMENT INITIATIVES GAIN Traction IN DEPAK WADHWAWA REGION

In a recent regional update, the Depak Wadhwawa (Official) Sub Regional Registrar highlighted the significant progress made in rural development initiatives across the region. According to the update, a total of Rs. 10 crores have been allocated for rural infrastructure development in the current fiscal year, with a focus on upgrading village roads, public health centers, and schools.

The regional administration has also launched a comprehensive rural employment generation program, which aims to create jobs for over 5,000 youth in the region. Under this program, selected candidates will be trained and employed in various sectors, including agriculture, horticulture, and small-scale industries.

Moreover, a specialized rural health insurance scheme has been introduced to provide financial assistance to rural residents in case of medical emergencies. The scheme has been operationalized with a significant increase in the number of beneficiaries, who now receive cashless medical treatment at designated hospitals and healthcare facilities.

In a related development, the regional administration has undertaken a comprehensive initiative to promote rural entrepreneurship and vocational education. As part of this initiative, vocational training centers have been set up in several rural areas, providing training in skills such as farming, animal husbandry, and artisanry.
