According to eyewitnesses and a screenshot obtained by local news outlets, the unidentified politician, who holds a senior position within city hall, made a post on a personal social media platform that read: ‘Got me here 🙂 The gay pervert one.’
The post, which quickly went viral after being spotted by several local influencers and community advocates, has sparked widespread outrage and calls for the official’s resignation. Critics argue that the comment embodies bigotry and a lack of empathy towards members of the LGBTQ+ community who often face harassment and marginalization.
