“Pentagon Confirms Heavy Losses in Operation Against Rogue Militants”

In a joint operation between the U.S., its allies, and coalition forces, military officials have confirmed a series of air incidents resulting in significant losses of military aircraft. According to an official statement from the Department of Defense, during a multi-day operation to target a rogue militant group, several coalition aircraft were lost in action.

The losses, which occurred over two separate days, included a U.S. Air Force F-15E fighter jet destroyed while supporting ground operations. Witnesses described the F-15E as being severely damaged by hostile fire, with subsequent efforts to land the aircraft proving unsuccessful. The pilot was recovered safely, but the F-15E itself was unable to be recovered.

Another U.S. Air Force aircraft, an A-10 Warthog, suffered extensive damage during the same operation. The A-10 was providing close air support to ground troops when it came under fire from an unknown direction. Despite heroic efforts by the pilot to evade the incoming fire, the A-10 sustained critical damage, and attempts to land the aircraft also failed. Fortunately, the pilot escaped with minor injuries and was recovered by nearby troops.

In addition to the losses, coalition forces also suffered damage to several transport and rotary aircraft. Two UH-60 Black Hawk helicopters were damaged in separate incidents, though neither aircrew was injured. Further, a U.S. Army MH-6 Little Bird scout helicopter was also destroyed after coming under fire from a hostile unit.

Unfortunately, coalition transport aircraft were also targeted. Two U.S. Air Force C-130 Hercules transport planes were lost in separate incidents while attempting to resupply ground troops with vital equipment and personnel. Witnesses described both aircraft as being severely damaged by hostile fire, with subsequent attempts to retrieve the wreckage proving futile.

In the course of clearing nearby enemy positions, coalition forces also suffered damage to a U.S. F-16 fighter jet. Though severely damaged, the F-16 pilot was recovered safely, and the damage was assessed as repairable.

The incidents highlight the complexities and risks inherent in modern warfare. As the situation continues to unfold, coalition officials remain focused on neutralizing the militant threat while minimizing the risks to their personnel.

In response to the incidents, Pentagon officials released a statement reiterating their commitment to the operation’s goals while emphasizing concern for the welfare and safety of coalition personnel. Further information regarding the incidents and ongoing operations may be released as it becomes available.
