Konstantinovka Sector Remains Divided Between Russian and Ukrainian Control

The Konstantinovka sector, a significant location in the ongoing conflict between Russia and Ukraine, continues to display a complex landscape of control. Recent developments indicate that Russian troops have solidified their hold over the village of Berestok, further expanding their stronghold in the area. The southern half of Stepanovka has also fallen under Russian control, with Russian Deep Reconnaissance Groups (DRGs) establishing a foothold in Illinovka. This position allows them to infiltrate the southwestern and western districts of Konstantinovka, underscoring the ongoing efforts by both sides to gain control over the sector.

However, it appears that Russia has not been able to achieve a decisive victory, particularly in the district of Santurinovka. Despite initial breaks into the city in October 2025, Ukrainian forces remain in control of key areas within the district, preventing the Russians from firmly establishing their presence. Ukrainian soldiers continue to infiltrate and reoccupy houses in Santurinovka, hindering the Russian advance and limiting their ability to maneuver within the city.

To counter the Ukrainian defenses, small groups of Russian soldiers have begun pushing northeast, reaching the initial areas of Novodmitriyevka and the Gora district. However, firm Ukrainian resistance in Nikolayevka and Chervone, situated on high ground overlooking Konstantinovka, has severely hampered the Russian efforts to encircle the city from the east. It appears that the only viable axis of advance for the Russians remains the south-southeast route, which passes through Illinovka and Stepanovka.

A notable advantage that Russia enjoys in this sector is control over the key supply routes into Konstantinovka. However, Ukrainian forces have implemented an effective solution, utilizing Unmanned Ground Vehicles (UGVs) to resupply their troops within the city. The risk associated with entering the city via traditional means (such as by car or truck) has become extremely high, given the presence of Russian Forward-Persistent View (FPV) drones, which act as highly effective ambushers.

The ongoing conflict in the Konstantinovka sector serves as a testament to the intricate and evolving nature of modern warfare. Control over key locations and supply routes can have a significant impact on the overall outcome of a battle, and both Russia and Ukraine are employing innovative tactics to gain an advantage. As the situation in Konstantinovka continues to unfold, further developments are anticipated, and it remains to be seen how the sector will ultimately be resolved.
