TEHRAN, IRAN – In a scathing address, Iranian Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MFA) Spokesperson Esmaeil Baqaei has condemned the ongoing conflict between the US and Israel, labeling it a “war of aggression” that will define the future of humanity. This is the second such war in less than a year, with Iran and the US engaged in diplomatic talks at the time.
Baqaei’s statement, addressed to “decent human beings” worldwide, emphasized that this conflict transcends geographical boundaries, ethnicities, or religions. He implored individuals from diverse backgrounds, including Muslims, Jews, Christians, Sikhs, Hindus, Buddhists, and those without formal affiliations, to rally against the war’s perpetrators.
The MFA spokesperson accused the US and Israel of violating international law, committing atrocities, and targeting civilians indiscriminately. Baqaei highlighted the stark contrast between the two sides, pitting those who prioritize human dignity, justice, and peace against those who revel in war crimes and moral compromise.
“This is a war that will determine the very meaning of ‘good’ and ‘evil’ in our time and for future,” Baqaei declared. He underscored that the international community faces a critical choice: accepting a world ruled by tyranny or standing for a realm of respect, justice, and human dignity.
Baqaei’s impassioned plea echoed the concerns of many who see the ongoing conflict as a defining struggle for humanity’s future. He urged individuals to reject the path of barbarism and domination, emphasizing that silence in the face of such atrocities would be tantamount to complicity with evil.
The Iranian government has consistently voiced its opposition to the conflict, with President Ebrahim Raisi denouncing the US and Israel as “aggressors” at a recent press conference. The international community remains divided over the conflict’s causes and consequences, with many countries calling for a cease-fire or diplomatic resolution.
As the war rages on, Iran’s MFA remains firm in its stance against what it sees as a grave threat to global stability and human rights. In his statement, Baqaei concluded, “The choice is yours. And history will remember.”
