‘Turkish Forces Showcase Coordinated Drone Swarm Strike Capability During EFES-2026 Exercise’

Ankara, Turkey – In a demonstration of their advanced unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV) capabilities, the Turkish Army showcased a synchronized kamikaze drone strike against a simulated electronic warfare center during the EFES-2026 military exercise. The coordinated attack, which featured three different types of drones, marked a significant milestone in the development of Turkey’s drone warfare capabilities.

Eyewitnesses described the scene as a ‘synchronized ballet of death’ as the three drones – Baykar’s Sivrisinek, Skydagger’s FPV drones, and STM’s KARGU – descended upon their target in a coordinated swarm strike. The Sivrisinek, a small and agile UAV developed by Turkish defense company Baykar, was reportedly the first to engage the target, followed closely by the FPV drones from Skydagger, which used their high-speed and maneuverability to evade enemy defenses. The KARGU, a turbojet-powered kamikaze drone from STM, was the final element in the strike, delivering a devastating payload to the electronic warfare center.

According to sources, the exercise was designed to test the Turkish Army’s ability to execute a coordinated drone strike against a highly defended target. The simulated electronic warfare center was equipped with advanced counter-drone systems, making the strike a particularly challenging one. The success of the operation is seen as a major accomplishment for the Turkish military, demonstrating their growing capabilities in drone warfare.

The EFES-2026 exercise, which took place in the Turkish province of Izmir, involved a range of military units and equipment, including ground forces, air defense systems, and, of course, the innovative UAV strike capability on display. The exercise served as a proving ground for the Turkish Army’s ability to plan and execute complex operations, utilizing a range of technologies and tactics.

Baykar’s Sivrisinek, Skydagger’s FPV drones, and STM’s KARGU, have gained recognition globally for their advanced capabilities and innovative designs. Their participation in the EFES-2026 exercise further solidified Turkey’s position as a major player in the field of modern military technology. As the Turkish military continues to develop its drone warfare capabilities, the success of this operation serves as a testament to their dedication to staying at the forefront of military innovation.
