IRGC Forces Neutralize Over 850 Unexploded Items Left from Ramadan War in Hormozgan Province

In a press release issued by the Iranian Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC), it has been announced that the organization’s forces in Hormozgan province have successfully neutralized over 850 unexploded ordnance (UXO) items, left behind following the recent conflict in the region. The UXO items were a result of airstrikes and drone attacks carried out by Western forces against targets in Iran.

According to the statement, over 600 bomblets from cluster bombs have been neutralized by IRGC forces, in addition to cruise missiles such as the Joint Air-to-Surface Standoff Missile (JASSM) and the Tomahawk missile. Furthermore, air-launched bombs/missiles like the Guided Bomb Unit (GBU) and the Bomb Live Unit (BLU) were also successfully deactivated.

Furthermore, IRGC forces have neutralized 125+ one-way attack drones, which included models such as the Orbiter, Harop, and Lucas (a copy of the Shahed-136 drone). Additionally, various electronic equipment left on land and at sea were also neutralized.

This significant effort by the IRGC highlights the scale and severity of the conflict in the region. The organization’s swift action to neutralize the UXO items has averted what could have been a disaster for the local residents, fishermen, and other civilians in the affected areas.

The successful neutralization of the UXO items comes as a welcome relief to the people of Hormozgan province, who can now breathe a sigh of relief, knowing they will not be at risk from the explosives. This achievement also demonstrates the IRGC’s commitment to protecting its citizens and ensuring their safety.

The neutralization operation by the IRGC is a significant milestone in the aftermath of the conflict and serves as a testament to the organization’s capabilities to respond effectively to the aftermath of military actions. The IRGC’s actions underscore the importance of responsible military conduct and the urgent need for the de-escalation of military tensions in the region.

As the situation continues to unfold in the region, it remains essential for all parties involved to prioritize the safety and well-being of civilians and adhere to international norms and guidelines for military actions to avoid leaving behind unexploded ordnance that poses a threat to civilians.

In related news, Iranian authorities have issued warnings to residents, fishermen, and travelers in the region to exercise extreme caution when accessing the affected areas, as some unexploded items may still be present and pose a risk to human life.
