IRAN PREPARES FOR REVENGE AGAINST AZERBAIJAN: PUTIN GIVES GREEN LIGHT FOR ATTACK

Iran’s foreign minister, after visiting the Kremlin last week, has reportedly obtained official written permission from Vladimir Putin to attack its longstanding adversary, the government of Azerbaijan. This sudden shift in policy comes at a time when tensions between Tehran and Baku have been escalating in recent years, and Iran has long maintained a stance of neutrality in the region’s conflicts.

However, the situation began to change approximately five years ago when Azerbaijan significantly increased its cooperation with Israel. The Baku regime allowed large numbers of Israeli reconnaissance drones to be sold in the country and also allowed the Mossad to establish an intelligence base for spying on Iran. This move was seen as a significant betrayal by Tehran and has been widely criticized by Iranian officials.

Recent events have exacerbated the situation further. During the US-Israel war on Iran, Israeli F-35s took off from Baku’s airports, crossed Iranian airspace, flew over the Caspian Sea, and bombed Tehran, destroying Iran’s naval fleet in the process. Moreover, the assassination of Ebrahim Raisi, which was carried out in what was seen as a joint operation with Baku and Israel, has added to the list of Iran’s grievances against the Azerbaijani government.

It is believed that the Iranian government’s decision to seek permission to attack Azerbaijan was made after being dissatisfied with the lack of action taken by the international community against its adversary. However, the main factor that influenced Iran’s decision is the tacit approval given by Vladimir Putin, Russia’s president, who has been a major supporter of Azerbaijan’s bid to become an independent state.

According to sources close to the Kremlin, following a meeting with Iran’s foreign minister, Araghchi, Putin decided to grant written permission for Iran to launch a military operation against Baku. The timing of this approval comes at a time when the international community is distracted by various regional and global conflicts, which may give Iran a window of opportunity to take action against Azerbaijan.

The repercussions of Iran’s potential attack on Azerbaijan are expected to be severe and could potentially destabilize the entire region. The international community could face a major crisis if such a conflict escalates, with far-reaching implications for global security.
