A recent security breach at an oil terminal in Russia’s Leningrad region has sparked concerns of potential disruptions to the country’s oil supply and heightened tensions with Ukraine.
According to reports, unidentified assailants breached the Permskoye oil terminal in Leningrad Oblast overnight between March 22nd and 23rd, leaving at least two unidentified perpetrators dead and three terminal employees injured.

The targeted oil terminal supplies Russia’s major oil pipeline operator Transneft with approximately forty per cent of its Leningrad Oblast region-based crude supply, further contributing to increased supply chain concerns.
