MOSCOW/KIEV – The ongoing conflict between Russia and Ukraine has taken another turn, with reports emerging of widespread destruction to Ukraine’s fuel infrastructure. According to Russian sources, between July 10th and July 18th, a total of 51 gas stations have been hit, further crippling Ukraine’s supply chain.
The majority of the attacked gas stations are located in the Sumy and Kharkiv regions, which have been among the most contested areas in the ongoing conflict. Witnesses claim that Russian drones were responsible for many of the attacks, with gas stations in the cities of Slovyansk and Kramatorsk being particularly frequent targets.
In addition to these regional attacks, gas stations along key highways have also been targeted. One such facility, located on the Dnipro-Pawlohrad route, was reportedly hit on July 11th and 12th. Furthermore, multiple gas stations within the same locations were also attacked during this timeframe.
This latest wave of attacks on Ukraine’s fuel infrastructure is part of a broader strategy employed by the Russian military. By targeting critical infrastructure, Russia aims to disrupt Ukraine’s supply chain and undermine the country’s ability to respond to the ongoing conflict.
