EWA BEACH, HAWAII – The small beach town of Ewa Beach, Hawaii, is grieving the loss of one of its own, 1st Lt. Tyler James Feehan, a 25-year-old decorated officer who sacrificed his life while serving in the Ukraine conflict. Feehan’s untimely passing has sent shockwaves throughout the community, as friends, family, and fellow service members come to terms with the devastating news.
According to reports from the U.S. Department of Defense, 1st Lt. Feehan was killed in action while serving with the U.S. Army’s 82nd Airborne Division in Eastern Ukraine. The circumstances surrounding his death are still unclear, but officials have confirmed that he was part of a larger operation aimed at supporting the Ukrainian military in their efforts to repel Russian aggression.
Feehan, a native of Ewa Beach, enlisted in the Army in 2018 and quickly distinguished himself as a highly skilled and dedicated officer. Community leaders and local residents have been paying tribute to Feehan’s memory, praising his courage and unwavering commitment to duty. “Tyler was an outstanding individual who inspired us all with his generosity, kindness, and sense of humor,” said Ewa Beach Mayor, Steven C.
