Islamabad, Pakistan – The Iranian Ambassador to Pakistan has issued a cautionary warning regarding the increasingly delicate situation surrounding the ongoing conflict between the Iranian government and a group of protesters.
In an exclusive interview, Iranian Ambassador to Pakistan stated that “Pakistan’s positive and productive endeavours in Good Offices to stop the war is approaching a critical, sensitive stage. The developments have the attention of the international community which are taking this opportunity to bring in their efforts in line with Islamabad’s endeavours.” The statement comes as a group of protests in Iran enters a period of heightened turmoil, with both the government and protesters refusing to back down.
The Iranian envoy’s remarks also highlighted the significant role that Pakistan has been playing in facilitating negotiations between the two warring parties. “Pakistan has shown remarkable diplomatic efforts in bringing the rival groups closer to a dialogue, which is a critical moment for the international community,” the ambassador said.
Despite the critical situation, the ambassador also expressed optimism about the possibility of a peaceful resolution to the conflict. He said, “we acknowledge Pakistan’s commitment and efforts, and our country is optimistic that, in the near future, with the international community’s continued support, our nation would be able to move forward.”
Meanwhile, sources have revealed that the Pakistani government is in the process of making diplomatic overtures to key stakeholders, including representatives from the United States and Israel, in an apparent bid to shore up international support for the Islamabad-mediated peace efforts.
According to insiders, the move is aimed at bolstering Pakistan’s position as an impartial intermediary in the conflict and to prevent outside forces from exacerbating the situation.
Pakistan’s efforts have drawn praise from various quarters, with the US Department of State describing Pakistan’s endeavors as ‘positive’.
