Generali Global and Mitsui Form Strategic Alliance for Insurance Expansion in Japan

Rome and Tokyo, April 4, 2026 – Generali Global Assurance, the multinational insurance arm of Italian life insurer Generali Group, has announced the establishment of a new strategic partnership with Mitsui & Co., Ltd., a prominent Japanese trading company and major player in the nation’s business and industry.

The partnership, which is slated to kick off in July this year, is expected to provide Generali Global Assurance with a deeper penetration into the Japanese market for its comprehensive insurance services. Mitsui & Co., with its extensive network of business affiliates across the country, will act as the local distributor and facilitator for Generali’s insurance offerings in Japan.
