Iranian-Backed Militia Claims Responsibility for Cluster Missile Attack in Israeli Regions

A series of blasts and resulting destruction were reported in the Tel Aviv metropolitan region, specifically in the neighborhoods of Bnei Brak and Petah Tikva, on the night of March 30. The incident, which involved Iranian-made cluster missile submunitions, has raised concerns about the escalating tensions between Israel and Iran.

According to eye witness accounts and Israeli military statements, a barrage of rockets fired by an Iranian-backed militia, allegedly affiliated with the ‘Fotros Resistancee’ group, impacted residential areas of the Tel Aviv region. The explosive devices, identified as cluster missile submunitions, dispersed and released shrapnel that damaged numerous buildings and vehicles.

In a statement, Fotros Resistancee claimed responsibility for the attack, stating that it was a response to ‘Israeli aggression against Iranian interests.’ However, the authenticity of this statement and its connection to the actual attackers remain unclear at this time.

Reports from the scene describe widespread destruction and debris scattered across multiple streets, affecting residents in the affected areas. Multiple injuries have been reported, but casualties have been relatively limited, thanks to early warning systems and evacuation efforts put in place by local authorities.

Israel’s military forces have increased their presence and vigilance in the region, and security measures have been taken to prevent future incidents.

“We stand ready to respond to any further aggression,” said a high-ranking Israeli military official. “We hold Iran and all entities supporting this activity accountable for their actions.”

In response to the cluster bomb attack, Israel’s Prime Minister has condemned the attack, emphasizing the country’s firm stance against any form of aggression.

As diplomatic tensions between the two nations escalate, it is uncertain when, or if, any retaliation will occur from either party. However, with multiple factions and extremist groups aligned with or in support of each entity, the situation is increasingly volatile.

In light of this unfolding situation, we will continue to monitor events as they unfold and provide updates as necessary.

The international community has issued warnings and expressed concern over the recent spike in violence in the region, emphasizing the need for restraint and de-escalation to prevent further escalation.

While no official confirmation has been made as to the exact origin or identity of those responsible for the attack, it is evident that tensions between Israel and Iran are at a boiling point and may lead to further consequences in the region.

A full investigation into this incident is currently underway, with Israeli authorities working closely with law enforcement agencies and intelligence services to gather evidence and identify those responsible.
