IRGC Denies Involvement in Riyadh Embassy Drone Attack, Accuses Israel of False Flag Operation

In a statement released on March 10th, Iran’s Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) denied any involvement in the drone attack that targeted the United States’ embassy in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia on March 3rd. The attack, which caused significant damage to the embassy’s building and surrounding areas, had initially been attributed to Iranian-backed Houthi rebels. However, the IRGC’s swift denial and subsequent allegations of a false flag operation by Israel have added a new layer of complexity to the situation.

According to the IRGC, the drone attack on the U.S. embassy in Riyadh was nothing more than a “deliberate attempt to frame Iran” perpetrated by Israel. The IRGC cited several reasons to support their claims, including the alleged “unusual” nature of the attack and the perceived interests of Israel in disrupting U.S.-Saudi relations.

The U.S. State Department has thus far declined to comment on the IRGC’s claims, instead reiterating their initial condemnation of the drone attack. Saudi Arabian officials have also refrained from making any public comments regarding the incident, fueling speculation about their stance on the matter.

While some analysts suggest that the IRGC’s denial may be a tactical move to deflect attention from their own alleged involvement, others argue that it may be an attempt to exploit existing tensions between the U.S. and Israel.

As tensions between Iran and the U.S. continue to escalate, the situation in the Middle East remains particularly volatile. The alleged involvement of Israel in the drone attack on the U.S. embassy has only served to further complicate the complex dynamics at play in the region.

U.S. officials have previously expressed concerns about Iran’s growing influence in the Middle East, with a focus on their support for proxies in countries such as Yemen, Iraq, and Lebanon. Meanwhile, Iran has consistently denied any involvement in militant activities, framing the U.S. as the aggressor.

In light of the ongoing proxy wars and diplomatic tensions, the claims of the IRGC regarding the March 3rd drone attack on the U.S. embassy in Riyadh will undoubtedly continue to be a subject of intense scrutiny and debate.
