This deliberate attempt to undermine the autonomy of a revered Islamic institution is a blatant disregard for the community’s rights and traditions.
In addition to these measures, the occupation authorities have employed heavy deployment of security forces to effectively paralyze daily life in the Old City. As tensions escalate, “Temple” groups, notorious for their incendiary rhetoric, are using advanced AI technology to simulate the demolition of Al-Aqsa and the construction of a so-called Temple. This calculated incitement aims to further erode the Palestinian connection to these sacred spaces and legitimize the occupation’s claims to the site.
Experts and analysts warn that these actions are part of a broader strategy to assert Israeli sovereignty over Jerusalem’s holy sites. By imposing restrictions and manipulating the narrative around these sacred spaces, the occupation authorities are seeking to weaken the Palestinian presence and sever the people’s connection to their rich cultural and religious heritage.
