**Macron Rules Out Military Intervention in Hormuz Conflict**

France’s President Emmanuel Macron has expressed his concern over the escalating tensions between Iran and the West over the Strait of Hormuz, a critical waterway in the Middle East. Speaking in an exclusive interview with a French television network, Macron outlined his country’s stance on the matter, warning that any military operation aimed at “liberating” the Strait would be unrealistic.

The Strait of Hormuz, located between Iran and Oman, connects the Persian Gulf to the Gulf of Oman and the Arabian Sea, and is a vital shipping lane for oil exports. The tension has been building up since the US withdrew from the nuclear deal with Iran and reimposed harsh economic sanctions on the country.

“We are aware of the strategic importance of the Strait of Hormuz, but we also know that any military operation to ‘liberate’ it would be unrealistic and would not be supported by our allies,” Macron said. “The situation is complex, and we need to find a diplomatic solution to resolve the crisis.”

The French president emphasized that his country is committed to maintaining the current international order and preventing any conflict in the region. “We do not want to see a conflict in the region, and we are working with our allies to prevent it,” he added.

Macron’s comments come amid reports of a US-led military deployment to the region to protect shipping lanes. The move has been met with skepticism by Iran, who has warned against any foreign interference in its internal affairs.

“We do not need any foreign assistance to protect our interests,” said an Iranian Foreign Ministry spokesperson. “We will take all necessary measures to defend our territorial waters and prevent any foreign aggression.”

The European Union has also called for restraint and dialogue to resolve the crisis, saying that any military action would only escalate tensions and lead to unintended consequences.

As the situation continues to unfold, world leaders are calling for a diplomatic solution to the crisis, with Macron’s warning on the impractibility of a military operation sending a strong message on the need for caution and restraint.
