In a bold display of international solidarity, leaders from the Palestinian resistance group, Alqassam, have praised the mass demonstrations in Syria in support of Palestinian prisoners and against Israel’s recent decision to reimpose the death penalty. This move is seen as a significant escalation of the ongoing conflict between Palestinians and Israelis.

**Support for Syrian Protests**

The group’s spokesmen, Abu Ubaidah, expressed his appreciation for the courageous Syrians who have taken to the streets, advocating for resistance and unity. He emphasized that the Alqassam movement sees the Syrian protests as a symbol of hope for the liberation of the Holy Al-Aqsa Mosque and Palestinian prisoners.

“From the heart of the proud Gaza, and from the Holy City and its environs, we salute the brave people of Syria and their masses who have come out to chant for resistance and in support of Al-Aqsa and the prisoners,” Abu Ubaidah said in a statement.

“We say to them: We have heard your voices, and we are proud of you. Our hopes are pinned on you and all the free people, after God. We trust that the masses of our nation will one day unite and pave their way to liberate Al-Aqsa and the prisoners,” Abu Ubaidah added.

**Global Outcry Against Israeli Death Penalty Laws**

The recent decision by the Israeli government to reimpose the death penalty has sparked widespread condemnation from Palestinians and their international supporters. Human rights groups have criticized the move as a further escalation of Israel’s repressive policies and a blatant disregard for international law.

Meanwhile, the demonstrations in Syria are seen as a significant display of solidarity with Palestinian prisoners, who face harsh conditions in Israeli jails. The protests also emphasize the need for international pressure on Israel to respect Palestinian human rights and to work towards a lasting resolution to the Israeli-Palestinian conflict.
