US Allegedly Sent Guns to Iranian Protesters and Kurdish Separatists: Trump

In a shocking revelation, a top Fox News reporter has cited President Donald Trump, stating that the US sent guns to anti-regime protesters and Kurdish separatists in Iran in January. Fox News reporter Trey Yingst shared the statement while recounting an exchange with the 45th President of the United States.

According to Yingst, President Trump revealed that the US provided guns to the Iranian protesters, and further claimed that the Kurdish separatists also took possession of the firearms. However, the US Department of State and Department of Defense have yet to officially confirm or deny the claims.

The alleged shipment of arms is linked to the widespread anti-government protests that took place across Iran in January, primarily sparked by the sudden rise in fuel prices. As a result, protests turned violent, leaving several hundred people, including civilians, security forces, and government officials, dead. The US, along with other Western nations, expressed solidarity with the Iranian protesters amid international calls for human rights reform.

Given Iran’s strained diplomatic relationship with the US in recent years, any involvement by Washington in the ongoing protests raises significant questions. US President Trump, known for his unorthodox communication style, may have made the comments in jest or as a genuine statement of intent. US State Department officials have so far chosen not to comment on the reported statements by Trump.

The US decision to supply guns to anti-regime groups, if true, appears to be a bold new step in what has been described by some as ‘maximum pressure’ on the Iranian regime. Such an action has the potential to strain diplomatic relations with regional countries, many of which maintain close ties with Tehran, particularly Turkey, Syria, and Iraq.

Critics may argue that US foreign policy in the region could become still more complicated by the reported intervention, further exacerbating ongoing conflicts in Iraq and Syria.
