As per the geolocation conducted by a prominent social media user, @MenchOsint, who shared the Sentinel-2 Satellite imagery, the ATACMS launcher was positioned in Kuwait, near the Iraqi border, which is a sensitive region that has seen significant conflict in recent years. The geolocation was completed in conjunction with other available data, and it revealed the exact location from where the launcher was spotted burning on July 17th at approximately 01h00 am UTC.
According to reports, this incident occurred following a series of Iranian attacks on Israeli targets, including oil tankers operated by the Israeli-owned company Zodiac Maritime Management Ltd. In response, Israel launched a military operation against Iranian targets, and the incident is believed to have taken place following this military operation.
