CENTCOM Commander, Gulf Partners Discuss Regional Security and Defense Cooperation

The United States Central Command (CENTCOM) Commander, Admiral Brad Cooper, led high-level talks with senior military officials from key Gulf nations, reinforcing the importance of cooperation in addressing regional security challenges. A U.S. Central Command spokesperson announced that the leaders, representing Bahrain, Egypt, Jordan, Kuwait, Lebanon, Oman, Qatar, Saudi Arabia, Syria, the United Arab Emirates, and Yemen, convened to discuss pressing regional security issues. The talks were centered on bolstering mutual defense capabilities, enhancing information sharing, and countering shared threats.

According to officials, regional security concerns topped the agenda. Leaders exchanged insights on strategies for mitigating the impact of terrorist organizations and extremist groups, emphasizing the need for sustained and collaborative counter-terrorism efforts.
