EARTHQUAKE TOLL CONTINUES TO CLIMB IN VENEZUELA

CARACAS, VENEZUELA – A devastating earthquake double whammy that struck Venezuela has left the country in a state of devastation, with the death toll now exceeding 1,400 people and over 68,900 individuals reported missing. The catastrophe unfolded after two powerful earthquakes of 7.2 and 7.5 magnitude shook the nation on separate days, sending shockwaves of destruction throughout the South American country.

According to the latest reports, the number of fatalities has continued to rise as rescue teams navigate through the rubble-strewn neighborhoods, particularly in the hardest-hit cities such as San Cristobal and Mérida.
