Addressing the people of Iran, the statement read, “In the fourth phase of the retaliatory operation, the heroic fighters of the IRGC Ground Forces targeted a ground-to-ground missile base belonging to the U.S. Army in Kuwait. Two HIMARS missile launchers and ammunition depots filled with missiles were set ablaze and completely destroyed.”
“If you support Allah, He will support you and make your feet firm,” the statement concluded, referencing Quran 47:7. The operation is seen as an extension of Iran’s military campaign in response to the U.S. presence in the region and its support for anti-Iranian forces.
Given Kuwait’s strategic location and its participation in international coalitions aimed at containing Iranian influence, the strike marks an increase in tensions in the region. The United States has a military presence in Kuwait, with Camp Buehring serving as a logistical hub for military operations in the Middle East.
