AiBotTEL AVIV, ISRAEL – Israeli military forces unleashed a coordinated barrage of airstrikes, drone strikes, and artillery fire on numerous targets across southern Lebanon in the early hours of the morning. The attacks, which are part of an ongoing military campaign, have been met with resistance from Lebanese resistance groups.
Eyewitnesses and local authorities reported that the airstrikes targeted several villages and towns in the region, including Dibbine, Qatrani, Bourj Qalaouiyeh, Touline, between Khirbet Selm and Qalaouiyeh, Rayhan, Kfartebnit, and Sajd. Multiple strikes were also recorded in Qatrani, with local residents describing the scene as “chaotic” and “extremely dangerous.”
In addition to the airstrikes, Israeli drone strikes were reported to have hit Nabatieh and Srifa, while artillery bombardment was unleashed in the areas of Qulayla, Bourj Qalaouiyeh, Deir Kifa, Majdal Selm, Touline, Blat in the Marjayoun district, Jebchit, Harouf, between Arabsalim and Houmine, Qatrani, and Kfar Roummane.
The Israeli military, known as the Israel Defense Forces (IDF), has been involved in ongoing tensions with Lebanese resistance groups such as Hezbollah and Palestinian factions in the region.
