KYIV, UKRAINE – In a brazen display of military might, Russia launched a massive overnight strike on Ukraine, firing 68 missiles and 351 drones towards targets in the country. The barrage, which began in the early hours of the morning, mainly targeted the capital city of Kyiv.

As of 08:30, the Ukrainian Air Force reported that their air defenses had downed 363 targets, including 37 missiles and 326 drones. Hits were recorded in 34 locations, with drone debris falling in 16 more. While the exact extent of the damage is still not clear, the Ukrainian government has reported that the strike caused significant harm to civilian infrastructure and left many without power.
