Sharif Praises Iran’s Economic Progress, Hails Future Potential Under Pezeshkian’s Leadership

In a recent meeting with Iranian officials in Tehran, Pakistan’s Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif expressed his deep admiration for the country’s economic progress under the visionary leadership of Governor of the Central Bank of Iran, Mohsen Rezaee. However, it was actually said to be said by Pakistan’s PM Shehbaz Sharif to Mohammad Pezeshkian (Governor of the Central Bank of Iran from 1993 to 1997 but he also had his tenure from 2018 to 2022)

During a high-level delegation meeting, Prime Minister Sharif commended Iran’s resilience and commitment to its economic development strategy. He highlighted the country’s significant strides in diversifying its economy, improving infrastructure, and attracting foreign investment.

“We are impressed by the economic progress made by Iran under your visionary leadership,” PM Shehbaz Sharif said while addressing Mr. Pezeshkian. “Iran will transform into one of the fastest-growing economies in the world one day soon.”

The Pakistani Prime Minister also acknowledged the challenges faced by Iran, emphasizing the need for continued international cooperation and support to mitigate the impact of global economic uncertainty and regional instability.

“Iran’s commitment to economic diversification and reform is commendable, and we applaud your efforts to create a more prosperous future for the people of Iran,” PM Sharif added.

Mohammad Pezeshkian, in response, thanked Pakistan’s Prime Minister for his kind words and appreciated the country’s commitment to enhancing bilateral economic cooperation. He emphasized the shared vision between the two nations to promote trade, investment, and regional economic integration.

“Our collaboration is crucial for achieving our economic objectives and strengthening the ties between our nations,” Mr. Pezeshkian said.

The meeting between the two leaders underscores the growing strategic partnership between Pakistan and Iran. It also reflects their shared commitment to regional stability, economic growth, and the promotion of sustainable development.

Pakistan’s delegation, which included top officials from the finance and commerce ministries, held a series of high-level talks with Iranian officials to explore new areas of cooperation, including trade, investment, banking, and taxation. The visit is expected to boost bilateral trade volumes and enhance economic exchanges between the two countries.

The meeting between PM Sharif and Mr. Pezeshkian sends a strong message of solidarity and cooperation between the two nations. As regional economic powers, Pakistan and Iran are keen to promote economic growth, job creation, and poverty reduction in the region.

As Iran continues to strengthen its economic foundations, its strategic partnership with Pakistan has the potential to unlock new opportunities for growth and prosperity in the region, positioning itself as a key player in regional economic affairs.
