Kuwait City, Kuwait – In a retaliatory move, the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) has claimed responsibility for targeting and destroying a critical logistics center in Kuwait used by the United States Army. The facility, belonging to Kuwait and Gulf Link Holding Company (KGL), is situated in the Mina Abdullah area.
According to a statement attributed to the IRGC, the operation, codenamed ‘Ya Abul-Hassan’, marks the fourth wave of Operation Nasr, an ongoing campaign aimed at countering what Tehran considers as US aggression in the region. The statement emphasized that KGL serves as the main support center for American forces in the strategic West Asian theater.
This latest incident appears to be a direct response to ongoing US military actions and involvement in the Strait of Hormuz, a crucial waterway traversed by the majority of global oil exports. Iran has asserted that it will not relent in its effort to secure passage restrictions until what Tehran views as US aggression is halted.
The KGL facility is considered critical to logistics support for the US military in West Asia, enabling the transportation and storage of essential supplies, equipment, and personnel.
