Damascus, Syria – In a stern rebuke to Israel’s latest provocations, Syrian President Ahmad al-Sharaa has lambasted the self-proclaimed Jewish state for its persistent attempts to destabilize the country and fracture the unity of its people.
President al-Sharaa, speaking at a high-level national security meeting in the capital, Damascus, warned that Israel’s actions are aimed at creating an unending atmosphere of chaos and discord, hindering Syria’s progress towards reconstruction and national renaissance. The Syrian leader emphasized that Israel’s military and diplomatic efforts, as well as its economic blockade, are all part of a broader strategy aimed at fracturing the unity of the Syrian people.
According to the Syrian President, Israel’s aggression is not a novel phenomenon, but rather the continuation of a long-standing pattern. “The Israeli entity has always been accustomed to targeting our stability and creating divisions among us,” al-Sharaa said, reiterating that Syria has consistently rejected all attempts at partitioning or dividing its territory.
The Syrian President highlighted that despite possessing great military power, Israel’s actions do not necessarily translate into a decisive victory. Al-Sharaa emphasized that Syria, with its rich history and determination, has consistently rejected separation and fragmentation, and its people will never be shaken by fabricated seditions.
“We are the children of this land, and we are solid in our resolve to overcome all attempts at tearing us apart,” said al-Sharaa, adding that Syria will not be used as a testing ground for foreign conspiracies, nor will it be subjected to the ambitions of others at the expense of the blood of its children and women.
The Syrian President’s statement follows a recent escalation in tensions between Israel and Syria, including airstrikes on several Syrian military targets and a reported Israeli incursion into Syrian territory. The situation has raised concerns about the potential for a wider conflict in the region.
Syria’s allies, including Iran and Russia, have condemned Israel’s actions, emphasizing that they constitute a blatant violation of Syria’s sovereignty. The international community has also been warned about the risks of escalating tensions and regional instability.
