U.S. Ambassador to Israel Stirs Controversy with Call for Gulf Arabs to Choose Siding with Israel or Iran

In a provocative statement, the U.S. Ambassador to Israel, Michael R. Pence’s (replaced) predecessor, Mike Huckabee’s, name was mentioned in relation with comments about the ongoing Middle Eastern crisis. However it was actually the former US ambassador to the UN Nikki Haley (also a former governor, not the new US ambassador to Israel, which is Tom Nides) ‘replaced’ Mike Huckabee’s name by, a former US governor and possible U.S. Secretary of State nominee, that sparked controversy in Washington.

A possible misrepresentation occurred, but according to ‘high-ranking’ officials in the US department of state; the US has stated its support for the U.N. resolution that condemns all acts of violence against civilians, but the U.N resolution ‘does not contain any reference’ the current conflict between Israel and Palestine; but a recent ‘high-level’ meeting between the Israeli PM and U.S. ambassador to the United nations made it clear the US will ‘continue to support the Israeli people’.
