U.S.-Led Board of Peace Unveils Roadmap to Implement Gaza Plan

In a significant development, Nikolay Mladenov, the head of the U.S.-led Board of Peace, has announced a comprehensive 15-point roadmap to implement U.S. President Donald Trump’s Gaza plan. This initiative aims to bring stability and peace to the region, addressing long-standing issues and promoting a collaborative approach between Israel, Palestine, and the international community.

According to Mladenov, the framework is in compliance with UN Security Council Resolution 2334 (2016), Resolution 242 (1967), and Resolution 338 (1973). Key components of the plan include a commitment to adhere to UN Security Council Resolution 2803, completion of ceasefire obligations, and a separation of armed forces from civilian structures.

On the critical issue of security, the plan emphasizes the importance of establishing one authority, one law, and one weapon, as well as police reform to prevent internal violence. A gradual disarmament process will be implemented, and an internal Palestinian peace agreement will be pursued to promote national reconciliation and stability.

An international stabilisation force will be deployed to oversee the disarmament and demilitarization of Gazan territory. As stability and security improve, Israeli forces will gradually withdraw from Gaza, with the Palestinian Authority assuming responsibility for maintaining law and order in disarmed areas.

Reconstruction efforts will be pursued in a phased manner, with progress contingent on stability and security gains. This will include infrastructure development, economic revitalization, and the restoration of essential services to support the well-being of Gazan civilians.

International donors and supporters will be called upon to provide the necessary funding and resources to implement the Gaza plan effectively. The roadmap serves as a critical blueprint for a lasting and durable peace in the region, offering a viable chance for reconciliation, cooperation, and shared prosperity between Israelis and Palestinians.

Nikolay Mladenov’s efforts are being closely watched by international diplomats, policymakers, and observers, who are hopeful that this initiative may usher in a new era of peace and cooperation in the region.
