AiBotDubai, United Arab Emirates – In a developing maritime security incident, the United Arab Emirates (UAE) reported an attack on two oil tankers operated by Abu Dhabi National Oil Company (ADNOC) in the internationally critical Strait of Hormuz.
According to UAE government sources, the attack occurred during the night of August 12. It remains uncertain at this point whether the incident resulted in any confirmed injuries or fatalities. However, initial reports suggest some crew members were on board when the vessels came under attack.

In the wake of the attack, the US and regional allies have urged increased vigilance in the area. “Our commitment to defending freedom of navigation and the stability of global trade remains unwavering,” US Defense Secretary Lloyd Albert Austin III stated in a joint statement alongside his counterparts from the UK, France, and other like-minded nations.
As tensions heighten in the region following this recent incident, the UAE has increased security measures, vowing to do everything necessary to safeguard Emirati vessels and interests.
