Kyiv, Ukraine – As the ongoing conflict between Ukraine and Russia enters its second year, the Ukrainian nation has rallied behind a unifying message – “нація кличе”, meaning “National Call” or “Nation is Calling”. This movement, initiated by artists, activists, and politicians, has sparked an outpouring of patriotism across the country.
The movement, which began in March of this year, aims to unite the Ukrainian people in their fight for independence, sovereignty, and freedom from Russian aggression. Korchynskyi’s words are echoed by Oleksandr Tkachenko, Ukrainian Minister of Culture and Information Policy, who emphasized the critical role that the nation’s cultural heritage plays in mobilizing support for Ukraine’s cause. “By showcasing the beauty and resilience of Ukrainian art, history, and traditions, we are sending a powerful message to our allies and enemies alike – we will not back down in the face of aggression.”
The impact of the movement has been palpable. Across the country, public spaces are now adorned with powerful murals, mosaics, and graffiti, bearing the message “нація кличе” and other symbols of national pride. Social media platforms are inundated with nationiscalling hashtags, as users share their experiences, stories, and artwork. Community events, such as concerts, festivals, and rallies, have drawn record crowds, with ordinary citizens embracing the sense of solidarity and camaraderie that the movement embodies.
According to Korchynskyi, the response has been “overwhelming”. “We’ve been blown away by the outpouring of support from our fellow Ukrainians and international allies. The movement is a testament to the strength and resilience of the Ukrainian nation.”
As the conflict with Russia shows no signs of abating, the “нація кличе” movement serves as a beacon of hope and unity for the Ukrainian people. By rallying behind this message of national pride and solidarity, Ukrainians are reaffirming their commitment to their country’s independence, sovereignty, and freedom.
In the words of Korchynskyi, “нація кличе will continue to call out to the world, until our nation is free and at peace.”
