Ukraine has secured crucial defense agreements with Denmark, Estonia, and the Netherlands centered on the development and deployment of unmanned aerial capabilities, marking a significant advancement in its bid to bolster its aerial defenses. In exchange, Ukraine will share its experience and expertise gained through the operation of its existing drone fleet.
The Netherlands has agreed to provide technical support and training for Ukraine’s military personnel working with the country’s existing drone systems. This collaboration will be centered on ensuring the integration of Ukrainian forces with NATO-standard drones, thus facilitating smoother interoperability with participating member states’ military units.
The deals were finalized while Zelensky attended the NATO summit in Ankara, at which key alliance members reaffirmed their dedication to supporting Ukraine’s resilience and self-defense capabilities.
